Jane Diefenbach

Standards Implementation & Integrated Safety Consultant

Jane Diefenbach, M.S. is a CDISC Registered Solution Provider. She has worked in the clinical trials industry since 1989 as a statistical programmer, biostatistician, project manager, and director of data management and biostatistics, first with Biometric Research Institute (BRI International) and Quintiles, and later, from 1999 to 2005, as President of WebClin, a firm she founded. Currently the Chair of the Washington DC Implementation Network (DCDISC) Steering committee, Ms. Diefenbach has been affiliated with CDISC since 2000 when she joined the Submissions Data Standards Team (SDS), developers of the Study Data Tabulation Model (SDTM). She has trained hundreds of users on the SDTM and worked with CDISC on several other teams including Testing and Applications, Implementation Groups, Controlled Terminology, and Analysis Dataset Modeling. She is currently working with CDISC, Duke Clinical Research Institute, and the NIH to develop and test standards for three therapeutic areas: cardiovascular medicine, infectious disease (tuberculosis) and drug abuse. Ms. Diefenbach consults on data standards implementation and other data management strategies.
